As you may know, we held our AGM on Sunday the 26th of April.
Some of the key issues raised are as follows;
Relationship with Swanage railway
We have now been adopted as a sub group of the Swanage railway trust, with a formal agreement currently under construction.
Publicity
For the publicity stand we have two model railway shows in the autumn, Christchurch MRC in Bournemouth in October and Weymouth MRA in November
The stand will also be at the Swanage Railway Diesel Gala in May.
It was asked whether there are any other events we could attend, so any ideas, please forward via the usual address or email. We also should soon be featuring in the Swanage Railway Trust’s own magazine, as well as the SR staff newsletter ”Swanning around”.
Finances
We are in good shape financially, with a fairly steady income, which is now being boosted by gift aid. Our balance is gradually increasing, but more standing orders are still required.
76275
We have been offered a good deal from St Leonard’s Railway Engineering Ltd, with a package to purchase and restore DTSO no 76275, which will be used to form part of our 4TC, with the worst of the two DTSOs at Butterley to be kept as a strategic spare.
